First Impression Of A Dream

 The poem starts off with the speaker talking to his ladylove. She says that all his day has been a dream. he agrees with the statement including that all he sees and seems is a dream within a dream. In the second part of the poem he is at a beach hold a handful of sand wishing he can have a tighter grip of the sand. He starts screaming to God uncertain of why he cries to God. I think the poem relates to young Goodman brown because in the poem the speaker keeps repeating words such as a dream within a dream. I think this symbolizes how he can be dreaming all alone that its not real or if its just some fantasy. I think this relates to young Goodman brown because it sounds like hes waking up from a bad dream. This story made me feel lie it was young Goodman all over again. This poem did bring up that dreams can feel so real life but sometimes even just a fantasy.

My Essay Essay

In the story Young Goodman Brown  Nathaniel Hawthorne communicates this theme by showing how browns beliefs are so strong but yet he seems to believe in something else towards the end of the story. This story shows how someone can change at any moment no matter their religion or beliefs. This story leaves us thinking if it was  real or imaginary. The story starts with brown walking  through the woods leaving his faith. Brown enters into the forest and starts sees all the good people he once knew turn into someone evil.
    All these people seem to be completely different back in Salem but the evil is strong enough to bring them regardless of there religion and beliefs. The Arthur uses symbols to demonstrate the evil in their life. He described how faith is being used in two meanings. Hawthorne also shows how the ribbons are disappearing slowly as he walks showing how faith was may be lost with the company of the devil. Hawthorne also uses a tale to relate the Salem witch trials from the late 1600s showing their traditions. He believes that everyone attending the meeting  are with the devil.
    Throughout the story he starts changing the way he sees the world. He actually ends up changing the way he sees it and that doesn't help him at all but instead creates allusions that he starts seeing. One of the allusions he starts seeing is the staff because he notices the snake on the staff and says it moves. The staff was from the man that offered it to him so it can get him to the meeting he was going to. When hawthorn starts talking about the old man and how he once new browns parents and all the Christians Brown was confused because how can someone christian attend to a meeting like the one he was attending. I think the old man is the devil and symbolizes his age and what he soon became to be. I also think he was once a christian but something caused him to change as he grew older. This shows how someone can change over time.
   As he goes further he sees a an old women known in her village for her piety and good deeds she was Goody Cloyse. She claims that the old men is the devil while she is the witch in the story. she needs help with the old men and the forest. shes on the way to an evil ceremony where two new converts will be welcome into a dark cult. More and more people start showing up even the preacher and the governors wife start showing up. He then sees a pink ribbon and hoping its not faith but sooner or later it's her and they both are being worship with the devil.
 Mean while he is all alone and gloom because he believes all the people he knew were with the devil but in the end its not clear if it was all a dream or real. I personally think it was his allusions because he started to freak out while walking alone which caused him to freak out even more then he already was ever since faith his wife wouldn't let him go. I also believe the whole point of the story shows how anyone can change at any time and it just happened to be with his people.

My Thesis Statement

When it comes to young Goodman brown I think we should write what we think happened to brown if he was imaging or if the things he went threw were real life. I also think we should  write what would happen if brown never saw the people he did and  how would his life be. Would he be surrounded by actual fake people or was this just a sign telling him what he was going to see in the future. I think we should all write about one of those topics because no one has an idea if brown was asleep the whole time or if he was going through all the things in real life.

Young old Good bad

I think Hawthrown wrote young Goodman brown because he wanted us to see how people really are and how our imagination can affect us. Young Goodman brown tells the story of  a young puritan man drawn into a covenant with the devil. The story also shows browns illusions about the goodness of his society are crushed when he find out that the people he once new became evil throughout the story. These people show evilness and he can't forgive the evil in his loved ones. Towards the end he spends the rest of his life in gloom and loneliness still all of us don't seem to understand if the experience was a nightmare or reality leaving us think if it was just his imagination.

I feel like I read and discuss differently when the authors in the room because often when I read I have to be able to understand the text by imagining things and that doesn't always go as plan. So yes I do think an author reading or describing the text is better because it develops my understanding about the text. At times I rather discuss about the text because it helps me see other peoples point of view and I gives me a better understanding but when I read the story alone or may be even when someone is reading it I tend to forget the text or I cant really see the image in order for me to get the text.

Young Goodman Brown questions

1)  Hawthorne's purpose for writing this story is to see how someones Allusion can affect a whole scene at some point.Once young Goodman starts realizing that he is alone he starts hallucinating and that's what causes him to be afraid where as the falling action was the ribbons because that's where brown starts thinking about faith.
2)I don't agree that faiths name its her appropriately because towards the end they reveal her as the devil but I also think it was a surprising story because i think it was all in brown's imagination because he kept thinking about the devil while he was in a dark place. In the beginning of the story he does because that was his whole faith but then he ends up not trusting her because he believes he saw her at the ceremony and when he comes back to her she doesn't seem to change but he does due to his believing that she was there with him.
3) I think the ribbons signified her because she was wearing the ribbons which made him think that she might've been with the devil too but It also shows how everyone's might've thought she was going to be part of the devil According to the scene.
4) I think everything brown experience was a figment of his imagination because in the begging of the story he was afraid to show up to the ceremony because it started with faith not wanting to go which caused  him to be more afraid then he was and I believe that since he was in a forest all alone and afraid he could've just imagined everything he saw while he was walking.
5) I think the old man represent every human being is capable of becoming evil because the old man  represent the time going by as he became evil  .In he passage the old man explains how he knew his father and his mother who were Christians and many others meaning he was once a christian but because he was going to this ceremony may be he had turned evil after all he knew Christians and he didn't seem to care as he was turning evil.
6)The staff represents the walking stick which has a serpent that is so life like it seems to move but I also think that its just his imagination and mind messing with him because he was afraid.
7) If brown has not ventured into the forest his life would be different because he wouldn't be as afraid and he wouldn't start imagining things for example faith wouldn't be the evil along with the other people he encounter with.

Literature Analysis Book ( Beach Girls )

The overall theme of the book is about love forgiveness and understanding. The daughter Nell sets grief for her late mother and sets the tone throughout the story by showing her point of view as a 9 year old who sees life with a lot of love needed to be spread. The tone of the story sadness and loneliness because the father also known as the widow is afraid to fall in love or just afraid of love in general and is always hiding away his feelings in desperate need of love again but can't seem to find it while Nell cries every night wanting her mother back. Lastly Stevie not being able to find love for herself and always painting birds and writing stories because she's always feeling lonely. The plot of the story is how the characters are haunted by so many emotions and can't seem to fix them because they are to afraid ever since Emma died. The diction of this story is formal because the author describes each character to be seeking love while being lonely. An example of syntax is Nell felt it now, scalding the soles of her tender feet. "ouch, ouch," she said out loud. This shows how the author uses syntax correctly. Characterization takes a big part of this book because this book is being created and constructed by a fictional characters. Overall this book is a a haunting beauty that will resonate long after the final page is turned.

Having the time of my life

The tittle is having the time of my life because when i actually use my time wisely I'am able to do it. Sometimes we spend our time like nothing but don't get anything done. An example is our phones. We all use our phones when we have to much to do and don't realize how much we need to get done. At times I'am stressed and that's when I actually do my work and forget about my phone because when it comes to social media I'am more on the no phone side unless I am searching important things. By using my time to improve my decisions I will sort out my time by putting all my to do list in my agenda like I've been doing. I feel like I'am organized when it comes to time management because first I sort out my time then I think about the things I have to get done. While I'am doing that I check if the things I really need to do is very important and if its not I get to relax for once. I also feel like having a sport after school is difficult but then it helps you because you have a certain amount of time to do it and it's due the next day. It all just depends what you do ad if it's very important to you the amount of time you have is very important.

The meduim is the message

The way I would choose the perfect channels for my communication is being professional. being professional means being able to be mean and yet very kind  depending on what situation you are in. when you are writing an email you absolutely have to write professional because an email is not like social media its like a journal and if your wiling to share it you are letting the people see but if you don't then no one can see. The way I would like my communication to be is by sounding as professional as I kind but also being kind.

The character does show a lot of confidence in himself until he realizes that he is by himself and then starts panicking like every other human who for example is alone and then realizes how alone they are and then starts panicking. The author does repeat his wife name because she tells him to not go but he ends up leaving with a lot of confidence until he starts panicking.

FOR THE WIN

I Believe  something I've done really well in this course are keeping up with my Blogs. I also learned many new vocabulary and feel great about it. I love the feeling of getting new knowledge and keeping it fresh in my brain because then I ask myself today was not a waste full day because I learned something. I also think keeping up with the blogs made me see how my friends were struggling or stressed out because they had to catch up on work while I was thinking about my other classes. As I look back to all my blogs I feel satisfied because I was able to do it all with no stress put into it.

I ain't got time for this

My dominant time allocation is school,practice and being with my family. By spending my time during school I get to build many characterizes I need in life. School has a lot of learning and I feel like learning is very important in this world because this world is based on many things and I think that's where I have to start in order to get to my goal in this life. By having practice I get to try new strategies to improve on my main focus. I say practice because every day I attend to cross country practice and the only days i get off are Sundays but even when i get my days off I still have to clean and do my homework along with taking care of my siblings but I don't mind because there are two ways of seeing all these things I just said. A point of view I see is that I'am able to learn from all these things I do also known as practice. Another thing I take in consideration with reaching my goal is by giving as much love and attention to my family along with my friends. I think family is not a goal but instead much bigger then a goal because at the end of the day it doesn't matter how rich or poor you are as long as you have what you call a family. Someones who's always their with you when you are having a bad day but goal is to little compared to family so that's why I choose family.

why would elders tell the story to the kids = real purpose native american elder and you want to tell them a story and how the earth was made = made it memorable more interesting

Today I was Thinking

Today I was thinking about people getting stressed so easily. Many people don't realize that maybe taking a break and actually feeling like your their makes it easier to relax. What I learned today was that its easier to just close your eyes or touch your own finger tips or even feel the hard wood of the chair your siting on and breath like theirs no other air left for you because at some point its easier to feel like your actually living and that your there.

I care about your understanding

Today I'am writing with the intention of being understood. My 16 years of living half of which I was a toddler and a teen I started asking myself  why is their a  border between United states and mexico. I knew about the border since I was young because it was always brought up and even though I will always disagree with having a border I will never truly understand why their is a separation between mexico and the united states. I Can go on with this question of mines but I will never get the answer I want to hear. So every once in a while  I ask myself different types of  questions. At the same time I will never get the same answers because I feel like the answers will always just be opinions to me. One of the questions I ask myself  why do farm workers get payed less then stores actually earn for the supply whether  its fruits or veggies. I also think of the families who sacrifice their life by migrating and I also believe many other people think the way I do but theirs not much to do with this situation. I constantly think about people and Its not like I love it but I truly care because in the end we are all humans no matter what we do, how we act, and  who we are because every single person has emotions.
 I then start wondering about myself and how I miss doing a lot of the things I used to do. I look back to freshmen year and see what  I could've done to prevent bad things from happening and I start realizing that I  had stopped trying  as I did when I was a freshmen. I really don't  understand why I stopped caring about myself. During jr year I feel like everything has changed and I don't know how to improve in most of the things I do. At times I feel like I can't do anything because of all the times people have brought me down but then I realize that I'am stronger then I'am. This upcoming Saturday I will be racing with the cross country team along with 16 other schools and I have so many mixed emotions because I'am injured and if my leg gets worse then that's another bad season. After all I'am adriana and this is how I think.

The making of an essay

The making of an essay is overwhelming, stressful, irritating, and tiring. These experiences have made me hate the word essay. I feel like essays are being rushed now a days and never really felt like someones  thoughts have been in their. These feelings can distract you and make you feel like its worth nothing. At times I do love essays because Of the topics given. I honestly believe the topic is all that is important because the task makes it easier if your really into the topic of the essay. Today I learned that may be in the future I should give all my effort into an essay so it makes me want to write an essay and expands my idea of thinking. This way in the future I can make writing an essay  be easier.

The First 50 Pages

The tittle of the book  is Beach girls By Luanne. This book is based on a father name jack and a daughter name nell who lived in Boston but went on a vacation where the mother who had died a year ago. The mother had three best friends one was jack's sister who was Maddie and Stevie a lonely women who had multiple boyfriends but never married. Nell one day went to the beach and asked a girl a question about a blue house and Stevie was the one who used to own a blue house so she climbed on top of the hill and knocked at Stevie house and asked about her mother who has passed away trying to remember her mother. While the dad trying is trying to love someone else but can't see a future with no one besides Emma who was the mother.
2) The theme of the novel is about a girl and a widowed father Longing to find the beach girls of her mother's story. One named stevie and the other maddie. Both unsure if they'll ever find love and laughter after the mothers death but during summer something special happens and the question is if love will heal their past due to this trip.
3) From my point of view I think the  author talks about something she has been through for example her mothers death this book probably relates to her real life because the author uses the story of a mother being dead like twice in a row one with nell and the other with stevie. I also think she doesn't rush straight to the book she seems like the type of author who is very calm and enjoys writing books for the fun of it because she goes into very detailed description such as how the blue house loos and ow the people look she also talks bout the main character and how each character feels like or their thoughts about one another. I can imagine the author writing at night or in the middle of the day as if she were each character its pretty cool how she can go to different point of views for example she talks about one character and the next minute she talks about the dads thoughts but in first person and then later goes to third person and how they might feel.
4) Something that has helped me understand this book is the first second and third person because she uses all of them in her story by describing each character in every way. she also uses a lot of flash backs by explaining the scenes of each place her mother was also how the moms young life was and where she was born to give a better explaining on why the place is so important. Another is imagery because through out the book your able to see the image and feel like your their this books offers you the real imagination of everything such as the scene and the characters. Situational irony only happened once when the author described the witch and how the blue house which is now white says do not enter the main author enters either way but she ends up falling meaning i thought she wasn't going to go visit the once blue house or even enter but she still does. I also believe characteristics has to do with the story because each character is being described as one which is lost and lonely.
