The theme of this book is being able to live this harsh full life as immigrants. Francisco the main character faces challenges as an immigrant along with his family. The family cross the border and face many challenges along with a sad ending but this book isn't the last book because theirs more to it. The plot of the story is being an immigrant in the U.S . The setting takes place in Santa Maria, Santa maria high school, El Camino. The tone of this book is sadness and happiness because they face many obstacles. I really like his book because its a real touching book and it makes you see life differently.

Analyzing Ethos pathos Logos and kairos ("The Ethical Challenges Self-Driving Cars Will Face Every Day"

 I think the article will have more pathos then any other elements because its about self- driving cars and the challenges it faces meaning their will be more opinions because its a new trend that may cause many people to question themselves about the cars and how they work. I also think it will have kairos because self driving cars are in today's trend and its the right time to talk about the new future and new things.

ANCIENT RHETORIC IN MODERN TIMES

While reading the article I was able to see many of the elements but mostly kairos, ethos, and pathos. Pathos was used in the way that self driving cars are different from us humans in many ways and we were being compared to self driving cars. Some of the questions were given that  self- driving cars  are better than human drivers, why should the cars be subject to rules  that were designed for human fallibility and human errors. the article also used kairos by describing self -driving cars which is now in the present and technology is being improved in the current year.Ethos is used in the article by showing how the trends in this year are cars that are capable of self driving. the elements make this article more effective by  being able to show how and why ethical challenge of self - driving cars are  everyday.  An element that makes me question this article is logos because the article didn't have enough statements or facts it was more of opinions. 

Let Me walk You Through The Pedestrian

The Pedestrian

It was one night in 2053 when Leonard mead got arrested for simply walking. As he passes by the homes with all televisions on, oh how he wishes people would value their families instead of sticking their faces all over the television. The frosty air he

would smell each time he walks down the streets. While mead walks he enjoys the smells, sights, and sounds of the natural world while feeling lost, lonely and sad. He has done this for ten years and never once encounter another person. According to the robotic police car and the society, Leonard mead was a different person compared to normal humans.

Back then the neighborhood was the community and the family. where you were able to walk down the streets with no worries. In 2053 there was no such thing as a family. Leonard mead had no family but himself. Families weren't families anymore because the technology was all there was. People only walk in the morning and at night they are stuck with televisions. One evening he was walking alone down the streets like any other evening and night but this wasn't every other night and evening something strange happened to him and he did nothing wrong but walk like any other day but a robotics police car has stopped him. The robotic police car had no human beings inside of it but instead, the car was the one talking. The police car asked Leonard what he was doing and of course, Leonard answered the question as any other person would say. He said putting one leg in front of the other meaning he was walking but the police were much concerned about why he was walking alone and at night because no one ever did that. The police car sees Leonard as a different person because he was different than the regular humans in the society. From this point forward Leonard is told to get in the car and is taken to a psychiatric institution. He writes describing a dystopian short story in a night he was walking where his life had turned upside down.

Ray Bradbury's tone in the story The pedestrian is loneliness. In the year 2053 technology is taken of the world. Due to technology all over society, it is causing people to isolate one from another. It is stopping them from going outside. The television is holding up people from interacting with each other and in the story, Leonard proves it by explaining what he sees through the windows of others. As he walks all alone he realizes that the world isn't the world he wishes it was and he feels lonely because he knows it isn't and he can't do anything about it. In paragraph 1 it says " he would stand up on the corner of an intersection and peer down long moonlit avenues of sidewalk in four directions, deciding which way to go, but it really made no difference; he was alone in this world of A.D. 2053, or as good as alone, and with a final decision made, a path selected, he would stride off, sending patterns of frosty air before him like the smoke of a cigar ". This shows how loneliness describes the tone of the author because Leonard feels loneliness in the society where technology has taken over people.

Based on the character Leonard's own experience he described a dystopian short story in a night he was stopped by a police car for just walking. The character describes every detail of the story by saying what and how he was stopped while walking. He shares his experience with the night he was walking and sets a tone of loneliness because his society was not the way he wanted it to be and this made him feel lonely. Leonard feels lost because he has no one to talk to but himself every night. After all, he just wanted to walk and be in his world.

Overall Leonard's life shows a dystopian society where all there was is technology and the causes of technology. The way he felt towards his society affected the way he felt towards himself. Due to this, he was classified as a different person because everyone was stuck up on technology that it's made people more isolated than ever and all he wanted was to not be in the world he was in. This also caused him to get arrested and get sent to a psychiatric institution but he described every detail of his experience before getting arrested for just walking.

Story of My Life

A moment in life that I can turn into a story was entering preschool. I was about 4 years old and to this point, I can still remember the day as it was yesterday. I have a pretty good memory when it comes to my life and childhood because it was probably the most memorable thing that has happened to me. The setting took place in a bus full of elementary kids heading to a school surrounded by just land and fields no store or park it was just an isolated school. I started school on a foggy day filled with strangers I had no clue existed. The bus driver had a special seat for me and I would be the first to get off the seat and I would be surrounded by 6th graders who would guide me to the cafeteria and get breakfast. I was the first child out of three to attend school and I was lost most of the time but had many friends who would guide me. I was nervous but happy most of the time because I wasn't alone.

Plot of the story =whats implied is chilling- back then the neighborhood was the community the family when your out walking . when he was walking something has happened to him and he did nothing wrong but he was still stopped by a police and so he decided to just let his imagination flow until he got stopped. That was the main purpose of the story.

How To Get Online Good

One of the ways to get good online conversations is to be able to share the same emotions. The only way you can share emotions is by having to deal with the same situation. It's easier to just talk to someone online when your expressing your feelings because may be others can relate. Another is the personality, everyone has different personality while being online. technology doesn't always show your face or how you are because most of time your behind a screen. personality and characteristics can come a long way because making a conversation can depend on that. Last but certainly not least having good or bad ideas because they make up a conversation in general. It gets the reader a sense of understanding and attention.

Overall the main reason for what an online host want's to achieve is to show how people should contribute along with each other for better communication and to get everyone interested in it. A host can mean many things such as the person hosting a party or a person in charge of everything but overall the host contributes to a group of people.  Today I learned that although we may all know the same definition we may not describe it the same because we all understand differently. I also learned that each person described things according to what they understand and everyone's opinion means something because you can always change something if that's not the way you understand it.

The Value of my Time

Currently my schedule is having to do something everyday. I look forward to everyday and try to get as much as I can but sometimes I know that I don't use my time correctly. Most of the time I schedule my morning and afternoon by having an agenda and writing down what is needed to be done for that day . I always end up writing my homework everyday and decide if it can wait for a while or not and do the other things but eventually I get the done.  A way I know I have spending my time correctly is by having a good overall because once your done for the week you look back and say wow I had a tough week but I'am finally done.

Hawthorn & Poe on Dreams

Hawthorn's "Young Goodman Brown" and Poe's Dream within a Dream are Both very Similar and different in the following ways. The author uses the idea of dreaming to make us think if it's real or not. Both stories gave me a feeling that a dream can be so real yet a fantasy. They also had in common because they both sounds like they are waking up from a bad ream. Also in both settings theirs always a women to which they refer as their loved ones. The story and poem have very similar description but one may talk more about their beliefs then the other.
  The poem starts off with the speaker talking to his ladylove. She says that all his day has been a dream. he agrees with the statement including that all he sees and seems is a dream within a dream. In the second part of the poem he is at a beach hold a handful of sand wishing he can have a tighter grip of the sand. He starts screaming to God uncertain of why he cries to God. I think the poem relates to young Goodman brown because in the poem the speaker keeps repeating words such as a dream within a dream. I think this symbolizes how he can be dreaming all alone that its not real or if its just some fantasy. I think this relates to young Goodman brown because it sounds like hes waking up from a bad dream. This story made me feel like it was young Goodman all over again. This poem did bring up that dreams can feel so real life but sometimes even just a fantasy.
 While in Young Goodman brown he does talk more about the beliefs he has while in the poem it only goes into detail with God. Young Goodman brown does describe how his parents were once Christians and in the poem the speaker is crying out to God wishing the sand wont flow away with the water. Both stories do have allusions because the staff soon becomes into a snake and allusion can be described in the poem as the speaker described that may be everything we see is always just a dream within a dream.
   In the setting of the story young Goodman brown and in the poem they both take places somewhere dark because its night time. In young Goodman brown the reason why he started thinking to much was because he was all alone in a dark scene where he started thinking to himself. while in the poem the speaker was talking to a lady and soon he starts overthinking about reality being just dreams. Due to both of them over thinking they both start showing the audience how dreaming can take over your mind in just seconds.
  In conclusion Young Goodman brown and dream within a dream both have similarities and differences that make the theme of the story very interesting and confusing. I think both stories make us think more about our thoughts ad how our mind can change at any second because of what we think. Every step we take is because of the way we thin and that probably why young Goodman brown and the speaker have something in mind that cause them to act and think the way they do. Both stories have a way of explaining a dream.

Investing In Me

After High School the way i think I'am going to start fundraising my life is by getting a full time job instead of working only 4 hours a day. My idea is like any other teen out there. I want to go to college or a university but still be working for the school. I do believe going to either or will help improve my live style in many ways and change my family customs. I really want to become a neonatal nurse and in order for me to do that I will need to take many classes that are related to that. I want to be able to get good grades and be determined to do anything I can do in order to accomplish my dreams. I think something I would do is study and keep learning each day. I will also be helping out my mom with rent and save up the rest of money I have for my college/ university. After college which would most likely be Hancock or the university which would most likely be Fresno state I will continue my life by working in the medical field and save up for a house ad stable myself in Fresno because that's my goal and ideal place to live at. I will then build up my life by getting A car I want. Later in life I'am still not sure how it would be but even if My life has other paths I will always find a way to guide myself in this world.
